Life care can protect you and your hard earned assets from the ever increasing costs of Long Term Care. You can live independently but have the assurance of knowing quality health care is on the premises should you need it. When you need nursing care you just move down the hall, not to another facility. The one time entrance fee is similar to paying a one time Long Term Care Insurance policy premium with no elimination period. Your only financial obligation is the entrance fee and the monthly fee. When using the care center, the only additional costs are for additional meals and supplies. Also a portion of your entrance fee and monthly fees are considered medical expenses for your taxes.

Independent Living...

Located on the west side of Gering, NE the Villa/Vista has a great view of Scotts Bluff National Monument. There are a total of 100 Independent apartments, 55 in the Villa building and 45 in the Vista building. Both buildings have undergone recent remodeling. Square footage varies from 470 to 1450, with a variety of floor plans. The apartment is yours to decorate, flooring is furnished, and kitchen appliances are provided. Utilities, cable TV, housekeeping, one meal a day, maintenance, grounds care, scheduled transportation, Emergency Nurse Call Alert and much more are included in your monthly service fee. Garages and guest rooms are available at additional fees.
You are encouraged to live an active lifestyle, and the only thing that needs to change is your address. Many social and recreational activities are offered including gardening, exercise, music, Bible Studies, Vespers, cards, and games. There are also a variety of community activities with area churches, theatres, civic organizations and museums including North Platte Valley Museum and the Farm & Ranch Museum. There are always opportunities for volunteerism, a number of residents volunteer at the museums and Regional West Medical Center.
If you enjoy walking, the Villa/Vista borders Northfield Park & Arboretum and there is a connecting pathway to the park and to Scottsbluff National Monument. Monument Shadows Golf Course is across the street for the golf enthusiasts. If you enjoy fishing, there are a number of lakes nearby.
Rentals are a way for you to find out if you would like living with us. Meals and transportation are not included in the rent. Rentals do not give you Life Care. You are able to use the Health Care Center, but Private Pay rates will apply.

These services were designed to offer help in the residents apartment. Sometimes things happen and you need additional help for a short while. Assistance in Living fills the need of those living in an independent apartment but need just a little help to remain in their apartments for a while longer.

Assisted Living...
|
Since many seniors need some help, but do not need the full nursing care, Assisted Living offers residents another step in their retirement living. Currently there are 30 Assisted Living apartments. When you are a Life Care resident, you may live in our assisted living wing with no additional charge except for extra meals and supplies. You are still living in an apartment, but more help is available to you. Assisted Living residents have their own dining room, bathing room, activities room and nurses station.
We also offer Assisted Living to seniors that are not in our Life Care System. This is on a private pay month to month basis starting at $2,300. There is no entrance fee. Private Pay Assisted Living residents have access to the Health Care Center at the Private Pay Rate.

Health Care Center...

For any future medical needs, our certified, licensed Health Care Center, known as the Med Center is equipped with 41 beds. Our goal is always to provide you with quality care in order that you may return to your own apartment as quickly as possible. The only costs for the extra care are two additional meals daily and routine medical expenses. You may continue using your own family physician or use our medical director, a community physician, who is on call 24 hours a day. We contract with Regional West Medical Center, to bring you physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
We also accept Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Pay residents. Private Pay rates start at $125.00 a day.
