That’s why we offer exercise classes and programs at Northfield Retirement Communities. 

Wellness is more than just staying physically fit, it is about having a balanced lifestyle.

Our fitness instructor, Lola, customizes and teaches classes such as:

– Stretch and Flex, and  Seniors on the Move. Learn more below. 

Senior Stretch & Flex - twice per week

Stretch, flexibility, balance chair. This program is designed to help muscles slowly stretch, to maintain flexibility, and support mobility, including balance exercises to improve coordination.

Music to patterns of Tai Chi & Yoga

Seniors on the move - twice per week

Warm up with Gigon, slow balance moves, standing or chair. Balls, resistance band, hand weights used for strength training, plus cardio moves on chair.

Scottsbluff National Monument

Towering 800 feet above the North Platte River, Scotts Bluff has served as a landmark for peoples from Native Americans to emigrants to modern travelers. Enjoy an engaging visitor center, and take a drive up to the very top to take in breath taking views of our valley.


Chimney Rock National Monument

Feel the awe and curiosity the pioneers experienced when they saw the most famous landmark on the Oregon, California, and Mormon Trails. Enjoy the visitor center, complete with museum exhibits, books, educational games and unique craft items from the gift shop.


North Platte River/Lake Minatare

Winding through Scottsbluff and the surrounding area, the North Platte River offers beautiful scenery and excellent fishing opportunities. Just 12 miles northeast of town, Lake Minatare awaits with the same, along with an historic lighthouse, and modern camping facilities.
